Inspired by Kids, Built for Play
ZR Play was started in Spring 2025 with the aim to bring high quality wooden products to Gardens all across the country with an initial focus on working on large contracts with schools, nursery and pre schools across NI and ROI. We are a small team of 3 (currently) and have a small and personal focus with strong response times. All of the team have young families and children, I (Ricardo) have two hyper boys, 3 and 6 years old, full of energy and brilliant helpers in the workshop and for countless ideas. Luckily and thankfully at our home and small workshop I regularly get the bring to boys ideas to life. This summer in my free time we have made a mud kitchen, climbing frame, wooden bridge for the 3 year old’s tractor and large storage shed for my extra tools. The team has over 20 years of experience in wooden and outdoor structures, from building larger outdoor office, landscaping and concrete pads, surfacing, climbing frames, swing sets, school, pub, caravan sites and many more different types of fit outs. Our large and new focus is our residential range of ZR play. All of our products are made to last, we are firm believers in do it once and do it right. We do not skimp on materials or cut corners and all of our products are built to last. We can do some amazing custom pieces as well from climbing frames around tree’s, tractor climbing frames, wooden boats and loads more, just ask!

our team
Meet Ricardo
I started ZR Play in Spring 2025, but the work behind it goes back over 20 years, building wooden and outdoor structures of every kind, from climbing frames and swing sets to garden offices, landscaping and fit-outs for schools, pubs and caravan sites. Most of my best ideas come from home. My two boys, aged 3 and 6, are full of energy and brilliant helpers in the workshop, and a lot of what they dream up ends up as a real build. This summer alone we've made a mud kitchen, a climbing frame and a little wooden bridge for the 3 year old's tractor. I build everything the way I'd build it for them: do it once, do it right, no cut corners.

We do. As a full service family business, we look after everything from design and build through to safe, professional installation.
Our timber is built to withstand the outdoors, and with a little simple care it will last for years. No major upkeep is needed. We recommend a quick check once a year to make sure nothing has worked loose, started to wobble or developed any unwelcome noises, tightening the odd bolt is usually all it takes. Pressure-treated timber can be re-treated every few years if you want to keep it looking its best. And if anything ever needs attention, we can service and repair our frames at any time, adding or replacing parts as needed to keep them safe and going strong. We'll share simple maintenance tips once your structure is installed
All treated timber products come complete with a 10-year anti-rot guarantee and a 2-year manufacturer Warranty, so you have full peace of mind on your amazing products.
